Qxtender - User Guide - Troubleshooting

Errors trying to open a QB data file
The principal causes of this type of error are:
  1. Data corruption in the QB data file.
  2. Incompatible update to QuickBooks.
  3. Corruption of Qxtender data access component(s).
  4. Out of date version of Qxtender.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to backup your QB data file before proceeding.
Take the following steps, in order. After each step, attempt to open the QB data file in Qxtender. If it opens successfully, skip the remaining steps.
  1. Check that you have the most recent version of Qxtender. Update it if necessary.
  2. Open the QB data file in QuickBooks and run the Verify Data utility.
  3. Open the QB data file in QuickBooks and run the Rebuild Data utility.
  4. Using the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel, Uninstall Qxtender.
Use the Windows Find Files dialog to search for the file named "OFFICEQ.DLL" and rename it to "OFFICEQ.BAK".
Download the full Qxtender installer and reinstall it. (Your plugins will remain intact).
If the above fails to correct the problem, use Export Mode to use your plugin(s) with data exported from QuickBooks. See the readme file included with your plugin for specific instructions. Contact Qtools Support with a description of your problem.
